Debbie got a Canon EOS 1000D camera for her birthday on Sunday and did really well at Potteric despite this being her first time out with it and having a few problems with camera settings. You can see Debbie's images here. I think we've got the settiings sorted now, metering and focus modes were the problem, why do Canon have to call everything by a different name!
Looking through the YWT details we brought back with us, there are a couple of places we'd also like to try and fit in this week, Spurn Point on the East coast and Wyming Brook near Sheffield. I just hope the weather is decent enough to get out there!

The Jay and Spotted Woodpecker are excellent.
Great set of photos Paul. I see the Woodpecker is in the 'how many seeds can I get in my beak' competition. :) I could count at least eight.
Paul your photo's today are great. Love the variety you have put up. You definately had a very successful day. :) Fab
Super series Paul, particularly the Jay attempting to stare you down!
Just awesome. I'm so fascinated with the differences in the coloring of the birds with the same name between the US and England. Cousins, but so different.
Excellent Paul. Especially the Great Spotted! Like the Jay with attitude!
And one day I will visit Potteric Carr
I recognise that feeding station!! Water rail under it when I was there last.
nice photos
Beautiful series, the flight shot is my favorite in this series.
Paul the winner for me is your Jay.
Outstanding.
More of the same please.
John.
