It's perfect Dipper country, with a fast flowing stream under dense woodland, everything is green and covered in moss, it's almost like a jungle.
The resident I was after appeared after about 5 minutes and then so did a party of city folk who insisted on organising a group photo with Tiddles while I watched on desperately as the Dipper flitted back an forth behind them.
Dipper
So only a record shot this time, but I'll be back and at a time that's too early for Tiddles and the gang!

Very lovely shots Paul...I love scenic pictures like that and your Dipper was definately a wonderful bonus.

Cracking shots Paul, and great to see the Dipper, despite Tiddles efforts to thwart it. lol
Looks a beautiful place to visit; I bet you're glad you've discovered it now.
....so lovely.....the waterfalls are gorgeous. I've never seen a dipper, so lucky you! He is a round little bird, and very cute!
Hi Paul,
Great posting here. I have only ever seen a Dipper once, but have never gone out specifically to find one. Great shots of that.
It's a good place is Wyming Brook - also keep your eyes open for wood warbler and pied and spotted flycatchers, plus there are some redstarts in there as well apparently.
I look forward to you finding more wildlife in your newly discovered walk. Let's hope the next visit will be more peaceful.
Fantastic series of images. The 2nd the best but the 3rd one is the cutest.
