Scorchio!

The last couple of days have almost been unbearable out of the shade so we've spent the afternoons in the garden hidden under the parasol. We got the shopping out of the way on Tuesday before we melted and this morning I was in the garden just gone 5am taking advantage of the sunshine before it started sizzling exposed limbs again.

After breakfast we headed off to RSPB Old Moor and even by opening time at 9:30am it was getting hard going, we spent most of the morning in Wath Ings hide where there was a lovely breeze.

We don't normally bother with the Family hide but were drawn to this strange scene..

Back at the visitor centre I spotted my first damselfly of the year, despite not seeing a single one all the way around the ponds.

We're expecting more of the same weather tomorrow, perhaps a little cooler on Friday, by the end of the weekend I'll look like I've been to Spain for a week!
